How to reach the venue from Bologna Airport

By taxi
Taxis are available outside the arrivals area at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport. The journey to the conference venue usually takes around 15–25 minutes, depending on traffic.

By Marconi Express + walking / bus
The Marconi Express connects Bologna Airport with Bologna Centrale railway station in about 7 minutes. From Bologna Centrale, you can then reach the venue either on foot (20 minutes) or by bus (10 minutes).

How to reach the venue from Bologna Centrale railway station

On foot
The conference venue is approximately 20 minutes on foot from Bologna Centrale (walking route here).

By bus
Several local buses connect the area around Bologna Centrale with the city centre and the area close to Via Azzo Gardino. We recommend checking the most convenient route on the TPER website or through a navigation app shortly before travelling.

How to reach the venue by car

Please note that the conference venue is located in Bologna’s historic city centre, where access by car is restricted by the Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL). Non-residents should not enter the restricted area by car unless they have the appropriate authorisation.

Participants arriving by car are advised to park outside the city walls or in authorised parking areas outside the restricted zone (check this webpage for further information on parking areas), and then reach the venue on foot or by public transport.

All these hotels are located in the city centre, which is very pleasant for walking around. They are also reasonably close to Bologna Centrale railway station, roughly 10–15 minutes on foot.

Other solutions include Airbnb or Booking reservations in Bologna.

We especially recommend checking with Airbnb for affordable solutions.

Please note that accommodation options in Bologna may become limited quickly, especially because trade fairs will also take place in Bologna around the same period. Prices may rise rapidly due to tourism and high demand. For this reason, we strongly recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible.

If you plan to have dinner in the area, we recommend booking a table in advance, since restaurants are usually busy and it may be difficult to find a table without a reservation.

Please also note that we have no agreements with hotels or restaurants and therefore cannot offer reduced prices.

Social dinner

The conference social dinner will take place on September 10 at 8:30 pm.

The exact location will be announced here as soon as it is available.

Participants interested in attending the social dinner are kindly asked to confirm their participation by email at conference@filmatnetwork.com no later than August 1^st.
